John Hallis, Executive Director, Information Technology Services & CIO

John is responsible for all aspects of information technology and computer services operations, policy, planning, evaluation, budget, personnel supervision, and development. His other duties include the advocacy, development, and coordination of academic and administrative computing, telecommunications and networking, as well as media, web, distance education, and other instructional technology activities both within and outside Tiffin University.

Jennifer Almendinger, Systems Administrator

Jennifer's primary responsibilities include augmenting support of the file/print services and email systems, such as system upgrades, patching, testing documentation, and planning. Also responsible for scheduling and monitoring systems backups, and providing end user support for Netware file system.

Brian Smith, Systems Administrator

Brian serves as JICS/PX systems manager for Tiffin University.

Marisa A. Brown, Academic Applications Specialist

Marisa is responsible for administering the learning management system (currently eCollege), promoting distance learning, preparing online courses for the all university programs, performing maintenance and housekeeping and assisting faculty with technical issues. Marisa also assists in providing group training and one on one sessions for faculty on the administrative features of learning management system. Marisa maintains content and support for the MyDragon and Self-Service portals for campus users.

Chris M. King, Systems Support Specialist

Chris’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support Tiffin University’s core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. Chris oversees Tiffin University's primary physical and virtual data center, storage, network, and security infrastructure, as well as critical network services and resources that operate on these devices. He is also part of a team that operates and maintains the campus Student Information System and the complimentary software that comprises this system.

Trevor Hug, Help Desk Manager

Trevor is responsible for coordinating the TU ITS Help Desk making sure support requests are answered in a timely manner and completed with the highest quality possible. Trevor is responsible for primary support of both hardware and software for 700 machines from Dell and Apple, as well as over 80 networked printers and copiers from HP, Ricoh, and Konica Minolta. He is also in charge of the Dell-Kace Systems Management and Imaging Appliances, managing a team of student PC Technicians, and the department’s two Undergraduate Assistants.

Cory Gottron, Multimedia Support Specialist

Cory is responsible for administrating multiple systems across Tiffin University's campus including student and faculty ID cards (dorm entry, library checkouts, and meal plans), video surveillance, document imaging (digital back up of paper documents), smart-boards within classrooms (implementation, training and maintenance of the devices), as well as filming and video editing of on and off campus events for web and TV broadcast. Cory also oversees the video editing lab and all video equipment.

Jennifer L. Saam, Webmaster & Graphic Design Technician

Jennifer’s primary responsibilities include creating and maintaining web content on the TU website, www.tiffin.edu and TU intranet websites. Jennifer's other duties are creating and developing graphics for TU websites and various visual medias. Graphic design projects include brochures, newsletters, sports media guides, logos, posters, and banners. Other duties include assisting as technical support for the Help Desk.
