SWITZERLAND
The student visa application process frequently takes two to four months. Consequently, Webster recommends that students who require a student visa should complete the application process at least six months prior to their intended date of enrollment.
Make application to the University and be an accepted student at Webster. Your acceptance packet will contain your letter of admission, an Attestation (certificate) that documents your acceptance as a full-time student, a Swiss biographical data form, a Webster Information Pack that details the visa application steps. A copy of the Attestation that we send to you is also sent to the Swiss Authorities in Geneva
Upon receipt of the items above, you must make an appointment with the nearest Swiss Embassy/Consulate (Chicago) to submit your application for a Student Visa. You should be prepared to present your credentials as requested including the acceptance letter, the Attestation, documentation that your program fees are paid in full, passport, proof of finances, educational records and translations, photographs, etc. Be prepared to explain the educational reason for your study in Switzerland and why you will return to your home country after your studies are complete.
The Swiss Authorities will notify you whether your visa request has been granted or refused. If approved, you will need to return to the Embassy or Consulate as directed to get the visa affixed to your passport.
Webster University can register you AFTER they have made a copy of your Swiss Student Entry Visa.
