Tiffin University's Alumni Association Board (TUAA) meets 3 times per year and assists in planning many special events on campus and in communities around the country.

MISSION: To be ambassadors of excellence, leadership and service for Tiffin University and act as a resource for the Office of Alumni Relations in building programs that support lifelong connections to Tiffin University Alumni & Friends.

Jeff Beard
Chairman of the Board
Class of 1999 - Accounting
"The education that I received at Tiffin University has been the building block that has enabled me to progress in my career," said Beard.  "I've worked with graduates of many universities and I believe my education stacks up very well with any of them."
Beard is President & CEO at Standing Stone National Bank in Lancaster, OH.
Harry Burd
Board Member
Class of 1963 - Business Administration
Burd was the Managing Director of Labor Relations for Pfizer Corporation and Basic Incorporated, as well as the Manager of Training & Development for Cummins Engine Company.  Burd has also served as past President of the Seneca and Sandusky Counties Personnel Manager's Association.  Mr. Burd operates RJV Properties of Ohio and resides in Tiffin.
"The education I received at Tiffin University gave me the confidence and ability to pursue and acquire employment with several top American companies," he said.
Parris Burt

Class of 2008 - Business Administration
Class of 2010 - Master's Degree (Business Administration)
Burt is a Branch Manager for Relay Express out of grove City, OH. Mr. Burt resides in Columbus with his wife (Wynter) and daughter (Londyn).

"The co-curricular activities at TU showed me how important it is to volunteer and use your time to benefit a great cause and those less fortunate," said Burt. "I have used my different experiences (from Tiffin University) to help me evolve into a great manager."

Richard Collins
Board Member
Class of 2001 - Master's Degree (Criminal Justice)

Mr. Collins is with the Ohio House of Representatives in Columbus in the position of Sergeants-at-Arms, appointed by Ohio House Speaker William G. Batchelder (R), 69th Ohio House District.  Mr. Colins resides in Columbus.

"There is little doubt that having obtained my MCJ degree from Tiffin University impacted the selection process when I was chosen to be the Superintendent of the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2007," said Mr. Collins. "I truly feel that my educational experiences, along with my teaching background at Tiffin, had a positive influence on the selection committee and Governor Strickland."

Erica Henry

Class of 2000 - Sports Management
Class of 2002 - Master's Degree (Business Administration)
Ms. Henry is the Assistant Director-Enrollment Relations, Student Financial Aid Office at the University of Cincinnati. Ms. Henry resides in Cincinnati.
"I look at the path that I took to get to Tiffin University and all of the opportunities I have had, including my employment at the University of Cincinnati," said Henry.  "None of that would have been possible had TU not taken that chance on me 17 years ago.  I look to always go above and beyond what other people would do, to always look for opportunities to change someone's life.  I want to do for someone else what Tiffin University did for me."
Bill Hertzer

Class of 1960 - Business & Accounting
"I believe Tiffin University did a very good job preparing me for the work force," said Hertzer. "I have enjoyed my association with Tiffin University very much."
Mr. Hertzer generously donated the new carillon bells located inside the Hertzer Center for Technology's clock tower in memory of his late wife, Jean Grady Hertzer (TU Class of 1956). Jean passed away on December 28, 2012.
Ryan Pessell

Class of 2007 - Business Management
Mr. Pessell is a Commercial Lines Sales Executive for the Hitchings Insurance Company, located in Findlay.  He began his insurance career in 2007 with The Hartford Insurance Company.

"The education I received at Tiffin University has been a crucial part of my success," said Pessell. "I am able to communicate and provide an understanding of a complex product (Property & Casualty Insurance) to the customers I serve on a daily basis.  My TU education has given me the proper tools to be a responsible, knowledgeable and accountable business person in my community."

"My Tiffin University degree opened up the opportunity to begin a career with Nationwide Insurance over 35 years ago," said the Bellefontaine resident. "The dedication I gave to my studies while attending Tiffin University carried over into my career."

Through my experiences as a student athlete at Tiffin University, I learned invaluable skills which have propelled my career performance and success. The hard work, dedication and time management practices I acquired while at TU set me up for real work life experiences and challenges. I will forever be grateful for those four years of learning, developing and growing both personally and professionally.

Jesse Schrader

Class of 2004 - Master's Degree (Business Administration)
Jesse works at Key Bank in Brooklyn, OH as a Credit Analyst. The Elyria resident also runs baseball clinics and motivational speeches for kids with Hemophilia and other bleeding disorders around the United States for a bio-pharmaceutical company, CSL Behring.
"I learned a lot at Tiffin University in regards to how to treat people," said Mr. Schrader. "Everyone has challenges throughout is how you overcome those challenges that make us who we are," said Schrader. "I had many challenges at Tiffin University but nobody made me feel differently or held it against me. I will hold on to that for the rest of my life."

Stocker is the Agency Owner with Ships and Trips Travel Agency in Tiffin.
"Tiffin University taught me the importance of networking and giving back," said Stocker.
