Make A Real & Lasting Impact
Tiffin University has embraced a culture of change and evolution to meet the challenging demands of a real-world education for our students. We are entrepreneurial in our approach as we seek to continually strengthen and improve everything our educational programs have to offer. Our goal is for each of our motivated students to reach his or her full potential, and upon graduation, become a true asset to our society.
Your gifts to Tiffin University help us in meeting these challenges, and will make a real and lasting impact on the lives of our current and future students. Below are just a few of the ways you can give to Tiffin University. If you have any questions or need more information about our many giving opportunities, please contact the Tiffin University Development Office at (419) 448-3282. We thank you for your support! You make the difference!
Ways You Can Make A Gift:
Cash or Check - Cash gifts are convenient and fully deductible for federal income tax purposes, provided your deductions are itemized. Simply mail your gift to Tiffin University, Attention Development Office, 155 Miami Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883.
Online Giving - Giving online is fast and safe and with our secure server. Now giving to Tiffin University has never been easier! Just Point, Click, GIVE!
Automatic Payments - You can now make recurring gifts easily and conveniently through an Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). For more information about this option, please contact the Development Office at (419) 448-3282.
Pledges – Pledges enable a donor to plan a personal giving program that is both convenient and “tax-wise.” A pledge may enable you to consider a more significant gift than would have been otherwise possible. Terms for payment on pledges are flexible and at the option of the donor. Contact the Development Office for more information about making a pledge.
Planned Gifts – A long-term planned gift may be the best way to make a gift from an estate, financial and tax-planning perspective. This can be accomplished in a number of ways, including charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, and bequests. For more information on planned giving, please contact Ronald Schumacher, Vice President for Development and Public Affairs, at (419) 448-3282, or via email at SchumacherRM@tiffin.edu.
Company Matching Gifts – Many companies match their employees’ gifts to educational institutions. Consult with your personnel office to see if they have a matching gift program. Matching gifts are credited to your individual gift record and count toward recognition in one of our giving clubs.
Real Estate and Gifts-in-Kind – The United States Tax Code encourages individuals to donate real or personal property to non-profit organizations like Tiffin University. We would like to invite you to review your inventory of personal assets and consider the endless options of non-cash gifts. A few suggestions are: vacation homes, time shares, automobiles, boats, antiques, artwork, musical instruments, books, collectables, aircraft, farm land and real estate, furniture, and exercise equipment. For further information, please contact Ronald Schumacher, Vice President for Development and Public Affairs, at (419) 448-3282, or via email at SchumacherRM@tiffin.edu.
Securities – Gifts of stocks and bonds can offer special charitable opportunities for donors. For more information on such a gift, please consult your personal financial advisor.
TU License Plates - Take TU On The Road With You!
If you are an Ohio resident, you can show your pride in Tiffin University through the Collegiate License Plate Program, sponsored by the State of Ohio.
The cost to participate in the program (in addition to any normal renewal fees) is just $35 annually. Of this $35 annual fee, $25 is directed as a charitable deduction to the TU General Scholarship Fund.
Due to a change in the Drivers Privacy Protection Act, Ohio Revised Code 4501.27, the release of personal information will not be provided without written consent by the individual. Therefore, you must provide proof of your participation in the collegiate license plate program in order for TU to recognize your contribution to the TU General Scholarship Fund.
If you have questions about this program, please contact Celinda Scherger, TU’s Alumni Director, at (419) 448-3313 or your local Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
