At Tiffin University, we believe healthy bodies promote healthy minds. And our students agree. More than half of them participate in club and recreational sports or are student athletes.Tiffin University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II. They will be a full member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference starting with the 2008-09 academic year.
NCAA Division II Teams
We field 18 NCAA Division II sports teams, including:
- Men's baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, and indoor and outdoor track and field
- Women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, and volleyball
- Coeducational equestrian
Club and Recreational Sports
Tiffin students
develop friendships and stay fit through our popular club and
recreation sports programs. If you have an interest, it's a good bet we
offer a program. And if we don't, we'll help you start one.
Our organized club sports include bowling, volleyball, cheerleading, martial arts, outdoor adventure, and more. Tiffin is proud to offer an equestrian club, which is growing in popularity each year.
Many students engage in casual pick up games of basketball, tennis, touch football, and soccer. And still others sign up for ultimate disc tournaments, dodgeball, billiards, and ping-pong competitions, and more.

We have a proud tradition of supporting our Dragon teams, and our home games routinely draw a crowd.
