At Tiffin University, we believe healthy bodies promote healthy minds. And our students agree. More than half of them participate in club and recreational sports or are student athletes.

Tiffin University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II. They are a full member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

NCAA Division II Teams
We field 18 NCAA Division II sports teams, including:

  • Men's baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, and indoor and outdoor track and field. Wrestling will be a varsity sport starting in the 2010-2011 season.
  • Women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, and volleyball. Women's lacrosse will field a varsity team starting in the 2009-10 season.
  • Coeducational equestrian

Club and Recreational Sports
Tiffin students develop friendships and stay fit through our popular club and recreation sports programs. If you have an interest, it's a good bet we offer a program. And if we don't, we'll help you start one.

Our organized club sports include bowling, volleyball, cheerleading, martial arts, outdoor adventure, and more. Tiffin is proud to offer an equestrian club, which is growing in popularity each year. Wrestling will also be a club sport in 2009-10.

Many students engage in casual pick up games of basketball, tennis, touch football, and soccer. And still others sign up for ultimate disc tournaments, dodgeball, billiards, and ping-pong competitions, and more.

A Tradition of Excellence
For those students who revel in the role of spectator, you'll have plenty to cheer about. We have a proud tradition of supporting our Dragon teams, and our home games routinely draw a crowd.
