
Dragons finish second in Indy Cup
Tiffin University was runnerup in the ICAA Indy Cup, the all-sports competition between the Division II Independent schools in the country. TU was second to Flagler College 46-40 while finishing ahead of five other Division II institutions. Tiffin won the most different sport contests with three championships, but Flagler had seven top three finishes to win the overall competition. This is Tiffin's final year of eligibility in the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association as they will begin membership in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference starting in the fall. 
Oilers sweep Dragons in season finale
Tiffin University (19-24) had a rough Senior Day, as Findlay won game
one 11-4 and nipped the Dragons in 8 innings 4-3 in the season finale.
Eric Ludrowsky had a rough game one, allowing 8 earned runs over 4.2
innings, while the Dragons managed only one extra base hit on Jason
Kulp's double. Devin Rudolph, Justin Blair, and Paul Robbins all had
two singles each. In the second game, Kenny Shaw took the loss after
4.1 innings of relief. The Dragons tied the game in the top of the 6th
inning but allowed a run in the top of the 8th inning to take the loss.
Blair added two more hits while Ty Blake had three hits with a double.Walkosky named Head Football Coach at Tiffin University
David Walkosky has been named Head Football Coach at
"I welcome the opportunity to guide the football program,” Walkosky, who most recently served as Assistant Coach at Washington State University, said. “It was important to me to coach somewhere we had an opportunity to win. It was also important to me who I would be coaching for and who I would be coaching with. I was impressed with Tiffin’s facilities, and I was also familiar with the area.” (more)

Dragons sweep Panthers to finish season
The Dragons (27-14-1) exhibited good hitting and good
pitching in both games on the road at Ohio Dominican, with their bats
saving the day in a 11-6 win and strong pitching leading the way in a
2-1 nightcap victory. Kellie Kitchen fired a two-hitter over 7 innings
in the nightcap, with Stacey Lucas getting 2 hits and Lauren Williams
hitting a double. Kenzie Kitchen drove in the gamewinning run in the
6th inning. In the opener, Krista Sowers got the win, scattering 6 hits
in a 5 inning effort. Michaela Dermanelian had 4 hits and Cyla Hawkins
added 3 more hits with a double and 2 RBI to lead the way. Lucas and
Jessica Ramriez had 2 hits while Stephanie Turvene also had 2 RBI.
TU wins season finale 6-3 over Findlay
The Dragons (5-12)
won a number of close matches, downing Findlay in their season finale
6-3. After Harry Smith/Bo Young (8-4) and Ben Fletcher/Ryan Toporowsky
(8-6) won close doubles matches, Smith won another close one at first
singles 3-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4. Fletcher also won a narrow decision 6-4,
5-7, (10-4), while Tristan McLean and Young won straight set singles
contests. Ryan Hodges lost a three set singles match 6-2, 2-6, 1-6,
while Toporowsky also fell 5-7, 3-6.Tiffin golfers place 17th at Great Lakes Regional
Tiffin University placed 17th of 19 teams at the Great Lakes Regional at the University of Indianapolis, firing a 621. Grand Valley State won the event with a 578. Bleu George led the Dragons with rounds of 72-80-152, good for 37th place. Andy Kronander was next for TU with 76-79-155, while Justin Sparks shot 80-76-156.
