Dragons donate to Mercy Hospital via Birdies for Breast Cancer Initiative

Tiffin University's men's golf team  recently donated $300 to Mercy Women's Care at Mercy Hospital after pledging to donate one dollar for every birdie made during the season in their Birdies for Breast Cancer Awareness initiative. TU made 265 birdies during the season.

Funds donated through Tiffin University’s golf program will benefit Mercy Women’s Care at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin through the purchase of educational materials including a new DVD player and educational DVDs.  This contribution will enable women to learn about breast health and other women’s healthcare issues when they come for testing at the center.

“We greatly appreciate Darby and TU’s golf team designating Mercy Tiffin Women’s Care Center for their donation.  Funds are always appreciated to enhance our ability to educate patients on breast health and other women’s special needs,” said Sue Bigelow, Manager of Imaging Services.

“It is very generous of Darby and the Tiffin University golf team to designate funds to the Women’s Care Center at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin,” said Bernie Steinmetz, Manager of Development and Public Relations.  “Through this donation, our ability to educate women in the community will be greatly improved.”
