The team opens up at Tusculum College (TN) followed by their spring trip to South Carolina. "Right now it is important that we have our bodies in shape for the long season," Head Coach Darby Roggow said. "We work very hard in the weight room so that we are the best conditioned team and don't tire near the end of the season. I'm proud of the way we're working and if the workouts are any indication of how our season will turn out, this will be a great year." Along with conditioning, the team will continue to work on their swings in the clubhouse located on campus. "Having our own indoor area to practice is definitely an advantage and allows our team to keep their swing sharp," said Roggow. |

Dragons look forward to 2006-07 season |
|
The 2006-07 season promises to be the Dragons most competitive as they compete in their final NAIA season before heading into exclusive NCAA Division II competition. Tiffin University will be led by All-Region and two-time All-Conference senior A.J. Borisa. A strong group of players returns and is joined by some key new additions. Junior Kyle Glenn, and sophomores Danny Sorgini and Derick Bores all return from last year's Region qualifying squad. Bores holds the current one-round school record low of 67, which ties him with Adam DeArmond (2006 graduate). "I'm really excited about our chances this year," said Head Coach Darby Roggow. "Bores, Sorgini, and Glenn all received valuable experience last season, and with the additions of our incoming freshmen I feel we can compete at the highest levels." New freshmen additions include Bleu George from Lancaster Fisher Catholic High School, and Spencer Schabel from Fremont Ross High School. Both have State tourney experience as well as an accomplished summer resume. "Both Spencer and Bleu have huge potential with the program," Roggow added. "They both should come in and compete for starting spots. They both have a wealth of experience in summer tournaments and their appearances at the OHSAA State tournament have prepared them well for their college careers. I believe they can take our program to a new level." Also returning for the Dragons this season are senior Alex Kocin, junior Ryan Sams, sophomores Justin Sparks, Kyle Williams, Matt Cherry, and Bud Dunn. The graduation of three-time All-AMC standout Dan Grincewicz, All-AMC player Adam DeArmond, and Sean Bailey will be tough to replace, but Coach Roggow believes that with the new additions to this year's squad, a solid foundation has been laid. "You can't replace players like Grincewicz and DeArmond," Roggow said. "It is because of these players that we are able to attract the new talent that we have." |

| Dragons enjoy annual camp |
|
"Listen to Learn, Work Hard and Enjoy the Game" was the message being delivered to young golfers this week at the Tiffin University Summer Golf Camp. This year's camp marks the third year that the Tiffin University golf team has offered a golf camp for boys and girls ages 8-18. The golf camp is run by Head Golf Coach Darby Roggow and his players. "I am excited that we are able to teach young adults the game of golf and hopefully instill an appreciation for the game," stated Coach Roggow. The golf camp is designed to teach aspiring golfers to love the game that they will be able to play for the rest of their lives. The camp took place at Brookhaven Family Fun Center, Mohawk Golf & Country Club, and Seneca Hills Golf Club. All three facilities were used to demonstrate the fundamentals of the game, the rules of the game, and some on course golf etiquette - all while maintaining a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. "The Tiffin University Summer Golf Camp would not be as successful as it has been the last several years without the help of the members of the Tiffin University Golf Team and our local PGA Professionals, Todd Bertermann (Mohawk Golf & Country Club) and Chuck Putsch (Seneca Hills Golf Club)," stated Coach Roggow. "I cannot thank them enough for the support that they provide to the golf program."
