Three members of the Tiffin University men’s track and field team will be competing at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships May 22-24. The national meet, hosted by California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, will include three Dragons competing at the national outdoor stage for the first time. Jeremy Lee, a sophomore from Wauseon, Ohio, currently holds the fourth best mark in the men’s 1500 meter run with a time of 3:48.00. The 1500 meter run leader entering the meet is Aaron Braun, a junior from Adams State with a time of 3:42.15.

Ramone Brant, a sophomore from Columbus, Ohio, qualified in the men’s 110 meter hurdle event with the 14th best time nationally. Brant’s time of 14.47 seconds is just behind the Dragons all-time mark of 14.30 seconds, set by John Greathouse in 2005.

Keith Reiter, a junior from Fostoria, Ohio, qualified in the pole vault with the 18th best mark in the nation. Reiter, who enters the national meet with a mark of 4.97 meters, also holds the school record in the event with a mark of 4.57 meters set in 2007. Reiter was the sole Dragon to represent Tiffin at the Division II Indoor Championships, where he finished ninth in the pole vault event with a mark of 4.85 meters. In 2007, the Dragons sent only one squad member to the Outdoor Championships, with Ikenna Obonna earning national recognition for his performance in the triple jump event.
