Shannon Potee has resigned as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Tiffin University, leaving to pursue a career as a teacher in the Oldham County School District outside of Louisville, Kentucky.

"I enjoyed my time with Tiffin University," Potee, who posted a 27-30 career record over her two seasons, said. "It was not an easy decision to leave, but I had a great opportunity in an outstanding school district to pursue my teaching career. I appreciate the chance I got to be a head coach. We have some good players that are returning next year, so I think the program is heading in the right direction."

According to Tiffin University Interim Athletic Director Lonny Allen, "We are sorry to see Shannon leave. With all the duties that she performed in the department, it will be tough to replace her. We will miss her work ethic and loyalty. We wish her much success in her new position."

During Potee’s tenure, she helped lead the Dragons back to the American Mideast Conference playoffs in each of her two seasons, reaching the AMC Semifinals last season. The Dragons 14 wins last season were the most wins since the 2000-01 season, and the AMC Semifinal appearance was the farthest the team had progressed in the postseason since 2002.
