SAAC Q & A with President Faith Greenawalt

Question:  What does the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee mean to you?

Answer:  SAAC is something that I am very passionate about.  I strongly believe in the student-athlete’s voice and think this committee embodies that belief.  As a part of Tiffin University’s campus SAAC and the NCAA National SAAC, I get to see on a daily basis the impact student-athletes can make.  SAAC strives to better the lives of student-athletes by giving them this opportunity.

Question:  What does SAAC mean to the community and the campus of Tiffin?

Answer:  While SAAC has been around for many years, the purpose and mission of SAAC are not widely known around campus and throughout the community.  For this reason, Coach Roggow and the committee have been taking the initiative to educate and inform the campus and community.

Coach Roggow has done an excellent job in inspiring new ideas from our committee and also brining new and exciting events to campus.  We have also been working together with local agencies and businesses to get the SAAC word out.  It is our hope that the campus and community will be more aware of the presence and benefits SAAC has to offer.

Question:  With this being the first year for GO GREEN, how do you believe it has gone?

Answer:  Our first year of GO GREEN has been a learning period as well as a great start!  All programs need to start somewhere and we have been learning many new ways to revamp and upgrade next year’s GO GREEN.

Question:  What information or advice can you give to the future president of SAAC or the new SAAC members?

Answer:  Becoming a SAAC member can provide a myriad of opportunities for student-athletes and I hope you all realize what an honor it is to be selected.  And so, my advice to the Tiffin University SAAC is to always be involved.  As the saying goes, you only get out of it what you put in to it!  Please continue our campus SAAC’s great success!
