Head Coach Pam Oswald

Pam Oswald has been named Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Tiffin University, taking over for departing coach Shannon Potee.

"I welcome the opportunity to guide the women’s basketball program,” Oswald, who has served as Assistant Coach at Wheeling Jesuit University for the last three seasons, said. “I want to help take the program to the next level. It is an exciting time to be with the program, especially with the university heading into the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.”

“We are pleased Pam is joining the women’s basketball program,” said Lonny Allen, Athletic Director. “With her experience, she was the right person for the position. She has a background at the Division I and II level that prepares her well to lead the program to the next level as we enter the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.”

Oswald’s contributions in three seasons at Wheeling Jesuit saw the Lady Cards post their most wins since 1992-93 (27), and advance to the NCAA Tournament twice. The team won the 2005 West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament championship.

Oswald  coached at Kent State University and Hiland High School prior to helping the Lady Cards. Oswald spent three years at Kent State, working with both guards and post players (developing two All-MAC selection post players).  While at Kent State the Golden Flashes were the 2002 Mid-American Conference regular season & tournament champions, participating in the NCAA tournament in 2002 & the WNIT in 2004.

A native of Berlin, OH Oswald joined the Flashes after spending 2 seasons as an assistant at her alma-mater Berlin-Hiland Hig School where she helped coach them to a 2000 Division IV State Championship.

A 1995 graduate of Malone College in Canton, OH, Oswald was inducted into the Malone Hall of Fame in January of 2006.  Oswald graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Broadcast.
