Tiffin named Independent Men's team of Year

Tiffin won their second consecutive ICAA Championship as they took 7 of the top 9 times in the nation amongst independent schools. Tiffin outpointed District of Columbia 20-83. Chad Roberts and Jeremy Lee were the top two finishers, while Jason Bumb, Justin Setty, Chris Finn, Adam Nunns, and Thomas Buxton also were named All-ICAA. Finn, Roberts, and Setty earned their second straight All-ICAA honor. Ron Martin was also named Coach of the Year.

For the women's squad, Tiffin came in a narrow second to Flagler 64-67. TU had four runners in the top 10, with Jessica Clark earning her second selection to the All-ICAA squad. Heidi Kiesel was named Outstanding Freshman, while Erin Casey and Alison Ward were also All-Independent.

Dragons rise to 8th in Great Lakes Region

Tiffin University's men's cross country team rose to 8th in the latest Great Lakes Region poll according to the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association. The Dragons had been ranked 9th in the USTFCCCA preseason poll.

Belzer, Setty earn academic honor

Andrew Belzer and Justin Setty both landed spots on the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II All-Academic team for the achievements in the classroom during the fall semester. This follows both the men's and women's team earning All-Academic Team honors from the same organization.  

 

Dragons cross teams named All-Academic 

The Men’s and Women's Cross Country teams both earned academic distinctions following their 2006 seasons. The men's team posted a 3.00 team GPA, while the women posted a 3.36 mark. The achievements earned both teams spots on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II All-Academic teams.
