Head Coach Jamie Marinis
The Tiffin University cheerleading program has been under the
supervision of Head Coach Jamie Marinis for 5 years. Prior to
coaching at Tiffin University, Jamie was the Head Varsity and Junior
Varsity Cheerleading Coach at Kent Roosevelt High School in Kent,
Ohio. She was a two-time member of Kent State University's UCA National
Co-Ed Team during her four years as a Varsity Cheerleader. She was a
Cheer Ohio Summer Camp instructor for two years, a competitive high
school and college cheerleader for 6 years and a competitive gymnast
for 10 years.
Marinis earned both her Bachelor of Science in
Community Health Education and Master of Education in College
Administration and Student Personnel from Kent State University. She
has been a full-time staff member in Enrollment Management and Student
Services and an adjunct faculty member at Tiffin University for over
four years. Originally from Oregon, Ohio, Jamie, her husband, Jeremy,
and daughter, Karris, currently reside in Tiffin, Ohio.
Elizabeth Stanfield- Assistant Coach
Elizabeth joined the TU cheer
program in 2008 as the Assistant Coach. Her competitive cheerleading
career began at the age of 11. During high school, she was part of an
All Girls All Star squad-Ohio Cheer Explosion, winning numerous
championships along with a National Championship title in 2002.
Elizabeth cheered co-ed for the University of Akron and N.E.O.
–Northeast Ohio All Stars from 2002-2004.
Stanfield is a 2007
graduate of The University of Akron with a Bachelor's Degree in Social
Work. She currently works at The Giving Tree in Port Clinton, Ohio,
as a mental health therapist for youth and adults along with alcohol
and drug prevention programming. She is currently engaged and planning
her summer 2010 wedding.
