TU’s Martial Arts Club Provides You With Real Skills For Lifelong Results

Tuesdays and Thursdays - 4:30-6:00 p.m.

By joining the Tiffin University Dragons Martial Arts Club, you can learn self-defense, traditional Karate, and competition fighting skills.  In addition, you’ll improve your confidence, skills, balance, coordination, and self-esteem. This is your opportunity to become fitter, stronger, faster, and more flexible, while learning a valuable skill.

Martial Arts FAQ

Beginners & Experts Both Welcome!

Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned expert, you are welcome to join us.  Styles and skills include: Shotokan Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Uechi Ryu Karate, Brazilian and Japanese Jui-Jitsu, Judo, Aikido, Wu Shu, Kobudo (including nunchaku, staff, tonfa, knife throwing, manrikiguisari, kama, sai), Kickboxing, Escrima, and much more.

The Martial Arts Club meets from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Practices and sessions are held at the Track and Field and Wrestling practice space (between Happy Garden and Peebles, on WestMarket St

About Vincent Moore:

Dr. Vincent Moore is an Associate Professor of English at Tiffin University.  He has been studying martial arts since 1990, is a fourth degree black belt in Kime Ryu and holds black belts in both Shotokan Karate and Kobudo.  As a freelance writer, his articles on martial arts have appeared in Black Belt Magazine, Inside Kung-Fu, Karate International, and Martial Arts Training.  He is the founder of ACMAP (The Association of College Martial Arts Programs).
