Hospitality & Tourism is an industry alive with dynamic growth, new markets and rapid changes. The Tiffin University Hospitality & Tourism Concentration brings this real world close to home, offering you real opportunities to become part of the dynamic growth of this challenging and exciting career.  Your degree program puts a focus on travel motivators, environmental effects, cultural issues and economic impact variables. In addition to the coursework, you will also complete 400 hours of fieldwork/internship.

About Your Major:

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – Hospitality & Tourism Concentration is designed to provide you with the skills and competencies necessary for managing in the 21st Century.  Tiffin University takes the approach of total development of the individual, placing emphasis on your personal as well as your professional growth.  It prepares you for both a career and for graduate studies.  You will develop the managerial problem solving and strategic thinking skills that will help you become a leader.

Academic Requirements For Your Degree

To earn your Bachelor of Business Administration degree – Hospitality & Tourism Concentration, you must fulfill the academic requirements for graduation by completing courses in the following areas:

  • Knowledge Skills and Liberal Education Core of 49 hours.
  • School of Business Core Curriculum of 18 hours. 
  • Academic Major Requirement of 30 hours.
  • Open Electives/Minor of 24 hours.
  • Total Semester hours for the Degree 121 hours.

Hospitality & Tourism Club    The mission of the Hospitality & Tourism Club is to create awareness and educate you on the unprecedented growth rate of the hospitality industry, the diverse career opportunities available, and the current industry events impacting the global economy. Throughout the year, the club hosts Hospitality Management alumni speakers. Members also attend regional and national hospitality conventions, trade shows and expositions.

Delta Mu Delta    The Iota Epsilon chapter of Delta Mu Delta is located at Tiffin University.  This is a national honor society for business.

Circle K    Circle K International is a collegiate service organization with a worldwide membership that promotes fellowship, leadership, and service.

Student Government    TU’s Student Government is primarily involved in organizing the campus programming, social activities and serving as the voice and advocate for students concerning campus matters.  

World Student Association (W.S.A.)    The W.S.A. is concerned with helping to foster cultural growth and diversity on our campus, and providing awareness of international student concerns within the community at large.

Also available to TU students are activities of all kinds, events, and academic and other special interest organizations that include:  Delta Sigma Kappa Honorary Society, Communication Club, TU TIMES (TU’s School Newspaper) and Greek Organizations, among others.
