Connie Schultz, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author and first-generation college student, delivered the commencement address before thousands of graduates, family and friends.
Schultz encouraged graduates to become activists for kindness, get to know others and share their wisdom and knowledge.
“You are our greatest asset,” she said.
Schultz was presented a Doctor of Humane Letters degree during commencement.
Tiffin University celebrated its 129th annual commencement and the completion of degrees by about 800 graduates during a ceremony in Heminger Center on Saturday afternoon.
