Tiffin University provides students a variety of real-world opportunities to increase their own skill and understanding of the music industry through participation in several key fields. Members of the Concert Production Team, Artist Management Team, and Sound Engineering Team serve in both leadership and support roles, working on both ongoing projects and special events throughout the year. Team members participate in regular meetings, attend special topics seminars and training sessions, and are eligible for substantial scholarships.

The Concert Production Team

The Concert Production Team (CPT)is comprised of TU students majoring in Arts Administration, Business, Communication, and other related fields. The CPT gives students the opportunity to develop leadership and professional skills by planning and coordinating concerts, festivals and other events. Members of the CPT can be involved in booking artists, providing backline support in the areas of sound, lighting and logistics, promoting events, and handling business, financial and legal affairs. The mission of the CPT is to bring Tiffin University and its surrounding community together through the arts while also positively enhancing the level of activity on campus.

The Audio Engineering Team

The Audio Engineering Team (AET) provides live sound and recording services on campus and around the community. Students serve as audio engineers for live performances, serve as recording, mixing and mastering engineers in the recording studio, and provide equipment maintenance and repair services. Team members work as staff engineers for TU students ensembles, and on a freelance basis with both amateur and professional bands in the community. Students also attend regular workshop sessions, and travel for training to professional studios and live music venues around the region.
