At Tiffin University, we are proud of our graduates and their accomplishments. The professional opportunities afforded to the alumni after completing their graduate degree programs are simply incredible. At TU, we make it real. And in the real world, our alumni achieve real success!
Meet Leesa Laymance:
MSCJ/HSA
“Since completing my graduate degree in Homeland Security Administration at Tiffin University, I have advanced to a staff position within a National Laboratory, and now play an important role in our nation’s defense,” Leesa says. “I assist senior specialists in the analysis of intelligence information to identify trends, patterns, profiles, estimates and studies, in order to develop and disseminate intelligence products.”
She adds, “Intelligence work is critical to the long-term security of our nation. To work in this field, you must have a basic knowledge and understanding of a broad array of factors that affect national security. While enrolled in the MSCJ/HSA graduate program, I learned how to collect, analyze, evaluate and review the significance of raw intelligence data as it pertains to criminal activity. This includes domestic and international terrorism, and the political and economic consequences of such activities and their threat – both actual and projected to all national interests including infrastructure, policies, property and people.”
Leesa remarks, “Anyone working in areas that affect national security, including those who conduct briefings for policy an decision makers, would be well suited for and would definitely benefit from this program.”
Meet Ron Edwards:
MSCJ/JA
2007 Criminal Justice
Graduate Student Of The Year
“As Tiffin University’s 2007 Criminal Justice Graduate Student of the Year, I was honored to have the opportunity to address the Commencement Ceremony on May 5th, 2007 in Tiffin,” Ron says. “I am currently in discussions with an international firm that contracts criminal justice practitioners for the U.S. Department of Justice for assignments around the world. I anticipate working overseas soon.”
Ron goes on to remark, “I cannot say enough about my graduate experience at Tiffin University. It provided me with the opportunity to study with criminal justice practitioners, travel to India with the Tiffin University Study Abroad program in June of 2006, and then to be the recipient of the CJ Student of the Year Award… what can I say!”
