TUís Freshman Class: Reflecting Different Backgrounds

One of the very first things youíll notice as a Tiffin University freshman is our diversity.  We recognize that our students and our campus are a reflection of the world.

We recruit students from across the state of Ohio, as well as throughout the country and around the globe.  Our international student population has grown tremendously during the past few years.

The different backgrounds and cultures of our students enhance the educational experience youíll receive at TU, and make for lasting connections and lifelong friendships.

The TU Campus: A Community Beyond Imagination

At TU, youíll discover an exciting and attractive campus, where most of our incoming freshmen live.  We realize that each student has individual desires and needs, and we offer a number of housing arrangements.

Beyond the classroom, our students enjoy a wide variety of extracurricular activities.  As a freshman at TU, youíll have the opportunity to participate in athletics, the performing arts, intramurals and clubs.

Our Freshman Class: Who We Are

During the past year, TU enrolled over 400 freshmen. Our freshman student population is approximately 70 percent white or Caucasian, 20 percent African American, with 10 percent representing other ethnic backgrounds.

Standardized test scores and grade-point averages for our freshman class were as follows:

ACT: 21

SAT: 970

GPA: 3.01
