Tiffin University, a member of the Department of Homeland Security Coastal Resilience Center of Excellence, in collaboration with Center for Cyber Defense & Forensics, American Military University, other local, state, and federal authorities, along with industry, will host the 8th Annual Maritime Risk Symposium (MRS 2017) on November 13-14, 2017, at Tiffin University.

MRS 2017 will bring together local, state, and federal authorities, academics, and industry professionals to discuss the threats and challenges to maritime cyber security and the marine transportation system. With a focus on the articulation of current and future maritime cyber challenges and threats, the symposium will outline the implementation and operationalization of a sound maritime cyber strategy. The symposium will assess threats, vulnerabilities, and recent advancements in both attack vectors and maritime cyber security research to inspire ideas for innovative research that will define the next generation of maritime cyber space.

Payment made upon registration is to cover the host fee (cost of food, up to the allowable federal per diem rate).


The event will be held at the Marion Center, on the campus of Tiffin University (235 Miami Street, Tiffin, OH 44883). Driving and parking directions can be found at this link, or seen on the campus map.

Parking is available at the Marion Center and across Miami Street. Event parking signage will be posted.
