Tiffin University announced a discount on tuition for retired military, Reservists, National Guard, active duty military and their dependents.

“We work hard to create an educational environment that is welcoming and rewarding for U.S. armed forces members and veterans,” said TU President Lillian Schumacher. “Supporting those currently serving and those transitioning into civilian life aligns perfectly with our Guiding Principles whereby we are an inclusive and caring community that emphasizes service as a foundation of success.”

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, the transition from military to civilian life can be a challenging and stressful process for service members, veterans and their families. Tiffin University acknowledges that military backgrounds are desirable to many employers and is therefore committed to offering military students a chance to sharpen those skills as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

Eligible veterans, Reservists, National Guard and dependents (spouses/children) of current active duty military will receive the following discount toward tuition:

  • A $150 per credit hour discount for undergraduate degree students
  • A $250 per credit hour discount for graduate degree students

Eligible active duty military will receive the following tuition rate:

  • Cost of $250 per credit hour for undergraduate degree students
  • Cost of $325 per credit hour for graduate degree students

Students who receive this discount are not eligible to receive additional types of Tiffin University’s discounts.

To learn how to take advantage of these enhanced opportunities for our military and their families please contact Denise Burkin, Director of Veteran and Military Services, at 419-448-3340 or burkindi@tiffin.edu.
