TU to Reveal New Campus Tradition

Event: Monday, August 26, 2019

TIFFIN UNIVERSITY, Tiffin, OH— Join Tiffin University on Monday, August 26 at 12:15 p.m. as Tiffin University reveals the newest addition to campus – a spirit rock. The spirit rock is located in the grassy area in Hayes Courtyard between the Gillmor Student Center and Miami Street.

The unveiling of the spirit rock will include brief remarks given by President Schumacher, Dean Herdlick and student government representative, Angela Holahan. The rock was donated by Burns Farms and Boes Brothers Excavating and Trucking, Fostoria, Ohio.

“A spirit rock creates a new tradition on campus,” said Cassie Eschweiler, Coordinator of Student Engagement. “The rock is painted to create a sense of pride, celebrate an accomplishment or demonstrate TU spirit for various campus events, clubs, and student organizations.”

If a student organization, athletic team or other campus groups are interested in painting the rock, please contact student government, stugov@tiffin.edu. More information about the rock’s policies and procedures will be available this fall or by emailing Eschweiler at eschweilerc@tiffin.edu.
