How to Transfer to Tiffin University

You worked hard to earn those college credits – and we make it easy to transfer them to TU. Once you apply, our team will personally guide you through the entire process.

To complete your transfer to Tiffin University:

  1. APPLY – Complete your application today.

  2. TRANSCRIPTS – Request official documents to be sent to us from all institutions that you have attended previously. Send unofficial transcripts, if available, while waiting on officials to be received. If no associate degree is earned, request your official high school transcript.

  1. FINANCIAL AID – The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starts the financial aid process. All students are strongly encouraged to file their FAFSA, which can be obtained at fafsa.ed.gov. Tiffin University’s school code is 003121.
    Grants and scholarships are available and can be found at tiffin.edu/finaid/scholarship

  2. EVALUATION – Once transcripts are received, a transfer evaluation of your credits will be completed.

  3. DECISION – An admissions decision will be made once we have received all transcripts.

  4. PHONE REVIEW – A phone appointment will be set up with you to go over your degree requirements, how your credits will transfer and institutional policies. At the time of the phone evaluation, your schedule will be determined.

  5. FINAL STEPS – Once scheduled, the final steps are for you to make sure all required documents are submitted. For undergraduate students, be sure to register for one of our FIRE events (First-Year Interaction and Registration Experience)

We assess all transfer students individually, but here is what we recommend to transfer to TU:

  • A recommended minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA from the college you are leaving, or of combined credits if you are transferring credits from more than one school
  • Transfer Guides www.tiffin.edu/transfer/guides explain what credits will transfer to your Tiffin University academic record
  • You can receive transcript evaluations prior to enrolling—often immediately – so you know right away what transfer credits are awarded and what courses are required to complete your degree at TU
  • Transfer Scholarships tiffin.edu/transfer/scholarships are available to qualified students
