Tiffin University’s Assembly for Staff Engagement and Talent (ASSET) has named its annual staff award winners. Five awards were presented in total.
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Distinguished Leadership Award recognizes achievements in developing a culturally diverse, caring university community reflective of inclusive excellence. The 2023 recipient was Jacob Simon, Assistant Vice President for Intercultural and Community Engagement, Deputy Title IX Coordinator.
The Service to Campus Award recognizes one’s individual excellence in aiding the University’s community and its members. Jason Bock, Director of Operations for the Center for Online and Extended Learning was the recipient.
The Service to the Community Award recognizes one’s individual excellence in service to the local community of Tiffin and Seneca County. The 2023 recipient was Mikki King, Director of Annual Giving.
The Excellence in ICARE Values Award recognizes a staff member’s commitment to embodying the chosen Tiffin University ICARE Value for the given academic year. This year’s focus was interdependence. This year’s recipient was Ali Havrilla, Director for Online Enrollment Management.
The Lori Hall Staff Member of the Year Award honors its namesake former employee, whose character embodied the same values the ASSET leadership team deems integral for an exceptional staff member. Nick Bollinger, Assistant Director of Online Post Graduate Admissions, was named the recipient.
“I extend my deepest congratulations to all honorees,” said Kerry Jones, Coordinator of Assessment and ASSET executive board member. “We hope their achievements continue to inspire us, motivate us and remind us that we all possess the potential to be better than expected for ourselves as well as our students.”
