On August 12 at 7 pm, Tiffin University’s football team will host its annual Victory Day celebration at the Frost Kalnow Stadium. Victory Day is a tradition for the Tiffin area community, giving cognitively or physically challenged children the opportunity to experience the sport in a supportive and caring environment.
Participants will have the chance to either play themselves or cheer on those playing with the TU team, run for touchdowns against a mock defense and will be presented with a medal at the end of the night to commemorate their victory. Children will also be paired up with a Dragon Buddy, a Tiffin football player or cheerleader, who will serve as their mentor throughout the experience. Each child will be introduced to the crowd as they run through a tunnel to a rousing introduction from the public address system and live TU band. Parents or guardians will be able to take pictures as their children cross onto the field.
