Sheniah Lanier

I first joined the Tiffin University community as an undergraduate student in 2016. Having a lifelong passion for language, I majored in English and ultimately graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in the spring of 2019. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Tiffin and found the experience to be instrumental in my academic, personal and professional development. While I was challenged intellectually, I always felt supported due to the consistent encouragement of faculty and staff.

I continued my education at John Carroll University, where I obtained a master of arts degree in English in 2023. As a graduate assistant, I worked with students on multiple fronts – as an instructor of first-year writing, teaching assistant, writing center consultant, and slightly older peer. Helping these students navigate their own academic journeys was one of the most rewarding aspects of my graduate school experience, and I am excited to continue assisting students as an academic advisor.

In my free time, you can find me reading, painting, creating latch-hook art, and spending time with friends, family, or my two dogs, Sasha and Ruby.
