Dr. Timothy McCarty earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from West Virginia University. He previously received a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance (Jazz) and Master of Science in Applied Mathematics, both from West Virginia University.

Dr. McCarty has spent time as an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics at West Virginia Northern Community College and Belmont College, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at West Virginia University. He has presented mathematics research work at five different conferences and was awarded a West Virginia University STEM Fellowship when he was a doctoral student.
