Dr. April Dawn DeHart earned her Ph.D. in 2019 from Bowling Green State University in Sociology with a major in Criminology and a minor in Social Psychology. She has worked in higher education administration since 2016 and thoroughly enjoys helping students to succeed. She manages the federal Title III grant. The grant is geared toward student retention and student success. The focus is on increasing career readiness, student retention, and student satisfaction with the university. Dr. DeHart also teaches courses in the School of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences and is an active member of the Celebrating Cultural Uniqueness facilitation team. She is passionate about making educational opportunities accessible to students, and about serving the community.
