Duane Battle serves as an Assistant Professor and Video Lead in the School of Arts, Education, and Humanities teaching video production, sports media, and multimedia content. He brings extensive experience in television production, broadcast journalism, and education, having started his career at WJW-Fox 8 Cleveland. There, he collaborated with networks like Fox News, CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC on projects including breaking news, sports coverage, and presidential election broadcasts.

Duane holds an M.Ed. in Career Technical Education from Kent State University, a B.A. in Communication from Cleveland State University, and an A.A. in Broadcasting from Lorain County Community College.

In addition to teaching, Duane has led study-abroad programs in Zambia, where students partnered with Barefeet Theatre to create documentaries on the arts’ role in social change, promoting global citizenship and media literacy. He also maintains strong industry ties, producing live sporting events and web content for Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN), ensuring his professional expertise enriches his teaching.
