Lauren Barnes ‘08

Young Alumni Achievement Award

Lauren Barnes is Vice President of Program Management for the Communication Systems (CS) segment of L3Harris Technologies.

Communication Systems covers a broad portfolio, including tactical and airborne radios, battle management systems, night vision technology and professional and public safety networks and products.

Barnes assumed the position of Vice President, Program Management in August 2023. In this role, Barnes is responsible for leading the CS Program Management function with a focus on standardization of metrics, implementation of modernized program management toolsets and adopting best practices.

Before joining L3Harris, Barnes held several roles at The Boeing Company. Her most recent role at The Boeing Company was St. Louis 777X Program Manager where she led design, development and production for the composite wing. She also served as the Program Management Functional Leader for Boeing Defense Mobility, Surveillance and Bomber Division.

Barnes has a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tiffin University.
