Dr. Lindsay Vance joins Tiffin University as an Assistant Professor of Education and also serves as the Coordinator of Teacher Education Programs in the partnership with Lourdes University. She has extensive elementary and middle school teaching experience. Her areas of expertise include literacy instruction, transformative pedagogy, multicultural education and issues of social justice.
Dr. Vance earned a Bachelor of Education in Middle Childhood Education, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Foundations and Educational Sociology from the University of Toledo. She is licensed in grades 4-9 and has a reading endorsement (K-12). While working in K-12 education, she served on district and building leadership teams, the Response to Intervention team and a schoolwide Literacy Committee. Dr. Vance has presented at numerous local, state and national conferences. Most recently, she presented “Social Justice and the Language Arts: An Empowering Approach” at the Ohio Middle Level Association where her school was named “Team of the Year.”
