Tiffin University’s School of Business has announced its Innovation Fellowship program, slated to start in the fall 2025 semester.
The Innovation Fellowship is designed to impact regional economic growth through active collaboration with local businesses and providing students with hands-on experience. Utilizing the state-of-the-art “Ideation and Invention” space, the program fosters a dynamic environment where students, entrepreneurs and community members come together to address real-world challenges and cultivate innovative business startups. This initiative enables students to leverage their entrepreneurial talents, making valuable contributions to TU and the broader community.
Students will gain exclusive access to networking opportunities with prominent business leaders, entrepreneurs and mentors dedicated to their growth. Additionally, they will collaborate within the Gary and Laura Robinette Center for Entrepreneurship, situated in the new Center for Innovation and Learning, where they will have dedicated incubation space to cultivate ideas and transform them into successful ventures.
The fellowship program is set to last four years, offering students increasingly advanced opportunities each year. Open to students from all majors, the program places a particular focus on promoting entrepreneurship across various disciplines.
The Innovation Fellowship provides participants with essential resources, expert mentorship and ongoing support to help transform innovative ideas into successful startups.
“The Innovation Fellowship will give students valuable opportunities to work directly with mentors and entrepreneurs in Tiffin and the surrounding areas, gaining firsthand experience in starting and growing a business,” said Dr. Rebecca Abraham, Innovation Fellowship Program Director. “Through the program, students will also support local business owners by providing assistance in areas such as marketing, business planning, recruiting or any other services the business may need.”
“The Innovation Fellowship provides participants with essential resources, expert mentorship and ongoing support to help transform innovative ideas into successful startups,” said Dr. Thomas Marben, Dean of the School of Business. “This initiative reflects TU’s commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial spirit across all disciplines, offering students valuable opportunities to tackle real-world challenges, build meaningful connections with local businesses and contribute to positive change both on campus and in the wider community.”
