Effective May 1, Dr. Thomas Marben, Assistant Professor of Accounting and Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies, will begin his new role as Dean of the Tiffin University School of Business. Marben will replace Dr. Terry Sullivan, who is now TU’s Vice Provost for Academics, Campus Programs.
“During his time with the School of Business, Dr. Marben has done much to enhance the student educational experience through his curriculum development work and student engagement,” said Dr. Peter J. Holbrook, Provost and Chief Academic Officer. “The impact he has had is demonstrated by the fact that he was recognized with the ‘Excellence in Teaching’ award and selected as ‘Faculty Advisor of the Year’ by Student Government. I have every confidence in his leadership capabilities, and I look forward to how he will guide our oldest academic entity.”

Marben joined the School of Business in the fall of 2017. Prior, he spent a number of years working in both public and private accounting. Marben received his undergraduate degree from Davenport University in 2003 and his MBA from Central Michigan University in 2005. In 2022, he earned his Ph.D. in Business Management with a concentration in accounting from Capella University.
