Tiffin University has been selected as the Honorable Mention recipient in the Collaborative Initiatives category for the Tambellini Future Campus Award™.
The Tambellini Future Campus Award™ honors innovative higher education institutions that leverage and integrate AI or other cutting-edge technologies to redefine the landscape of learning, administration and campus life. The Future Campus Award evolved from the Tambellini Technology Leadership Awards, which were established in 2015 to honor the achievements of higher education IT leaders and their teams.
Tiffin University received this accolade for its groundbreaking partnership between the Tiffin University Drone Academy, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. This collaboration employs unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for incident scene surveillance and documentation. This initiative not only enhances operational efficiency but also sets a benchmark for the effective use of drone technology in public sector operations.
