Tiffin University will host its 135th annual commencement ceremony on Saturday, April 29 in the Heminger Center. This year’s keynote speaker will be Richard F. Wallman, former Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Honeywell International, Inc. and will receive the honor of being conferred the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. Commencement will begin at 2 p.m. and guests must be seated by 1:45 p.m. Tickets are not required.

A portion of the ceremony will be dedicated to the recognition of the 20th Master of Business Administration (MBA) cohort to graduate from TU’s campus in Bucharest, Romania. Additionally, the inaugural Romanian Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) cohort as well as its first Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) graduate will be celebrated. Members of the above classes will be traveling to Tiffin to receive their degrees in person.
All graduates of veteran or active military status will also be honored.
About the Commencement Keynote Speaker
Richard F. Wallman served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Honeywell International, Inc. and AlliedSignal, Inc. (prior to its merger with Honeywell) from 1995 to 2003. Wallman has served on the boards of several companies. He graduated in 1972 from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1974, he earned his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth Graduate School of Business and began his career with the Ford Motor Company serving in various financial positions. Wallman also served in senior financial positions with IBM and the Chrysler Corporation. He and his wife, Amy, have built a legacy of philanthropic support for postsecondary institutions, the continued education of students and faculty development. Together, they have supported all four of their alma maters by endowing scholarships, a professorship and other programs.
