Tiffin University’s Center for InterculTUral Excellence will host the 33rd Annual International Dinner on March 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gillmor Student Center Gymnasium. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. This year’s dinner theme is “Unbuntu: I Am Because We Are,” a South African phrase emphasizing the importance of the bond humanity shares.
The event celebrates the cultures of the University’s international students. Currently, 35 countries are represented within the TU community. The dinner will feature cuisine from around the globe, musical and artistic performances and more.
“The Annual International Dinner provides a great opportunity for the Tiffin community to learn about different perspectives and practices from around the world,” said Javier Solorzano Parada. “This year’s theme highlights the interconnectedness of humanity while celebrating diversity and promoting a sense of belonging. I’m particularly excited about the diverse food options worldwide that will be available at the event. As someone born in Mexico City, I’m eager for others to share a piece of their culture, embracing a diverse range of experiences for everyone to take in”
