Tiffin University will host a special LIFE@TU Bonus Session, Building a Legacy: The Story of Tiffin University’s Transformation, featuring President Emeritus Dr. George Kidd, Jr. on Friday, November 21, from 8 to 10:30 a.m. in The Marion Center located at 235 Miami St.
The event welcomes back Dr. Kidd, whose leadership marked one of the most pivotal chapters in Tiffin University’s history. During his tenure, he guided TU through a period of remarkable growth expanding the campus, strengthening academics and laying the foundation for the thriving institution it is today.
In this conversation, Dr. Kidd will share firsthand stories of the challenges he faced, the bold decisions that shaped TU’s future and the extraordinary people who helped bring the University’s vision to life. Whether you’re a lifelong supporter or new to the TU story, this session offers a powerful opportunity to hear how vision, perseverance and community came together to build a lasting legacy.
The morning will begin at 8 a.m. with a breakfast social, followed by a welcome from Tiffin University President Dr. Lillian Schumacher at 9 a.m. The program will include remarks from Tom Coffman, TU Trustee, who will introduce the development of the George Kidd, Jr. Presidential Initiatives Endowment and Dr. Gary Heminger, Chair Emeritus, who will offer a special introduction of Dr. Kidd before his keynote presentation.
The cost of this special event is $30 per person, which includes breakfast. All proceeds will support the George Kidd, Jr. Presidential Initiatives Endowment.
