A Diverse and Comprehensive Range of Programs

  • Education and Leadership: Undergraduate licensure programs for high school and middle childhood teacher education; non-licensure programs in educational studies, including a pathway to a master’s in K-12 special education; and workplace leadership degree completion programs designed to enhance 21st-century leadership skills. 
  • Creative and Media Arts: Programs in commercial music, music production, songwriting & studio writing, digital media and communications, sports media, video production, photography, design, and digital history and storytelling, all with a focus on experiential, hands-on learning. 
  • Graduate-Level Excellence: Master’s degrees in higher education administration, instructional design, and specialized certificates designed to develop both practitioners and leaders in their respective fields.

Innovative Support and Technology Integration 
The School also serves as a hub for technological and educational innovation.  From the integration of advanced instructional design in our classrooms to initiatives like the Credit for Prior Learning program, and the Classroom of the Future projects, we equip students with the tools and skills needed to navigate modern challenges. 

In the Institute of Creative and Media Arts, students enjoy an innovative, flexible and hands-on education that prepares students to pursue career goals in contemporary fields and industries. Whether your passion and interests are in the field of commercial music, music production songwriting & studio writing, digital media and communications, sports media, video production, photography and design or digital history and storytelling – you’ll immerse in it as you put knowledge to practice. Classes are taught from the perspective of practical application of material. Through group projects, creative and media arts labs, co-curricular activities, fieldwork and internships, you will have the opportunity to create actual projects that you can then use to launch your future career.

Undergraduate programs in Education include both licensure tracks in high school and middle childhood education and non-licensure options with tracks in athletic coaching, paraprofessional education, or educational technology and communication. Masters degrees include licensure in K-12 Special Education, Higher Education Administration and Instructional Design. Our programs feature expert faculty who are active practitioners, bringing real-world insights into your education. Additionally, we provide seamless dual enrollment pathways into our master’s programs, saving you both time and costs.

TU’s unique degrees in the Humanities include a Bachelor of Arts in Global Sports and Culture, which prepares students to understand the role of sports and sports industry professionals in a complex, interconnected world.  We also feature a degree in Workplace Leadership, a transfer-friendly degree-completion program tailored for the dynamic, fast-paced 21st-century workplace. Also offering graduate degrees in Art & Visual Media, Creative Writing, Rhetoric & Composition, and Film Studies, TU’s Master of Humanities program is a far-reaching exploration of arts, philosophy, literature, language and more – yet the focus remains on job-suitable skills for the arts and culture sector.
