Mike McKay

Mike McKay currently serves as an Interim Director of Learning Design at Tiffin University, where he applies his extensive background in educational technology and instructional design accumulated over 30 years. His professional journey commenced internationally, with a 12-year tenure as an adjunct in Japan, further enriched by more than a decade of experience in adult and secondary education. Prior to his current role, Mike was the National Training Director for a major auditing firm. His educational technology experience is rooted in web development since the 90s and particularly focused on virtual worlds for more than 12 years. His academic achievements include a Master’s in Education and Technology and a Bachelor’s in E-business. Mike’s research has been centered on virtual world language learning, demonstrating his commitment to innovative educational practices. At Tiffin University, Mike is dedicated to researching and developing online courses that integrate Generative AI, aiming to transform the curriculum and elevate faculty instructional design and student learning experiences.
