Grammy-Nominated Jazz Vocalist Cyrille Aimée to Perform at Ritz Theatre as Part of Tiffin University’s FestiVOX

Tiffin University is thrilled to announce a special concert featuring the Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Cyrille Aimée. The concert will take place on Friday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the historic Ritz Theatre in Tiffin, Ohio.

Cyrille Aimée has developed a multi-award-winning, continent-spanning career as a singer, songwriter, lyricist and educator. The French vocalist won first prize at the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and was handpicked by musical theatre legend Stephen Sondheim to star alongside the iconic Bernadette Peters in an Encores Special Presentation tribute at New York’s City Center, backed by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.

Her latest album, the Grammy-nominated “à Fleur de Peau,” showcases her unique blend of jazz sophistication, pop immediacy and the vibrant dance rhythms of the Caribbean.

This concert is part of Tiffin University’s FestiVOX, an educational festival for high school and college vocalists. The evening will also feature performances by Tiffin University vocal groups Higher Ground and Up in the Air as opening acts.

“We are so lucky to host such a phenomenal world-class artist for our annual FestiVOX,” said Brad Rees, Executive Director of Tiffin University’s Institute of Creative & Media Arts. “She puts on an incredible show, and her skills as a songwriter, singer and live-looping artist makes her the perfect model for our TU commercial music students.”

General admission tickets can be purchased for $15 online at tiffin.edu/arts/tickets or at the Ritz Theatre box office. Student tickets are available for $5 online or at the door.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the extraordinary talent of Cyrille Aimée in an intimate and historic setting. Join us for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, creativity and musical excellence.
