Tiffin University Expands DragonNext Program with Lakeland Community College and Stark State College Partnerships

Tiffin University has expanded its DragonNext program with the addition of Lakeland Community College and Stark State College, bringing the total number of partner schools to 11.

The DragonNext program was designed to allow students who complete an associate degree at a partner community college to transfer seamlessly into a Tiffin University bachelor’s degree program while saving time and money. The new partnerships with Lakeland and Stark State exemplify TU’s ongoing effort to broaden access to higher education and support student success across the region.

Students in the program benefit from aligned coursework that ensures a smooth transfer to TU. They also receive dedicated advising from both institutions and access to academic resources, including career services, tutoring, library services and student activities.

To be eligible, students must be pursuing an associate degree at a partner community college and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Beginning fall 2026, students attending classes on TU’s main campus will receive an $18,000 merit scholarship, while online students are eligible for an up to $150 off per credit hour discount.

“We are thrilled to add Lakeland Community College and Stark State College to the DragonNext program,” said Kelly Petrosino, DragonNext Program Manager at Tiffin University.

“These partnerships give students a clear pathway to continue their education while benefiting from support and resources designed to help them succeed. Expanding our program to these schools allows us to reach more students and help them achieve their goals.”
