Tiffin University’s project, “Expanding Hands-On Applied AI Education at Tiffin University Through NAIRR Classroom Resources” (NAIRR260305), was reviewed and approved through the National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource (NAIRR) Pilot.
The award provides TU with access to CloudBank Classroom and Vocareum AI Notebook for up to 100 students. This is an in-kind resource award, but the estimated replacement value to the University is more than $50,000 if TU were to independently secure comparable cloud-hosted classroom notebook infrastructure, student provisioning, storage, setup, technical support and AI/data science learning environments.
This award directly supports TU’s AI-forward strategy, including the launch of the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence, as well as its undergraduate programs in Artificial Intelligence and Prompt Engineering, Business Intelligence and Analytics and the AI+X minor. It will help expand hands-on student learning in AI, machine learning, data analysis, programming and responsible AI while reducing barriers related to local hardware and software installation.
“We are proud to receive this NAIRR Classroom award, which represents an important step in expanding hands-on AI education at Tiffin University,” said Dr. Anas Blasi, Executive Director of Tiffin University’s Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Center.
“These resources will provide our students with greater access to cloud-based AI and data science environments and more opportunities to apply what they learn through real-world, hands-on experiences. This recognition also strengthens TU’s AI-forward strategy and supports the continued growth of our undergraduate and graduate AI programs.”
