On Friday May 12, Tiffin University Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dr. John Schupp will host a pandemic-inspired art gallery at Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland. The show will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. and will include a TU alumni meet and greet, hosted by the Offices of Alumni Relations and Institutional Advancement.
Schupp spent several months orchestrating the event by interviewing members of the Cleveland community, such as local television anchors, doctors, funeral home employees and others involved in medicine and healthcare, about their personal experiences with the COVID-19 pandemic. He recorded their testimonies and gave them to a group of local high school art students, who created various pieces of artwork based on what they heard. The people who inspired the art and the artists will be there to talk about the work they created in tandem.
Cleveland-based alumni are invited to attend the gallery and to mingle with Dr. Schupp and Mr. Mike Herdlick, Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Public Affairs.
The Tiffin University Office of Undergraduate Admissions will also provide information for high school students and their families who are interested in learning more about the University.
