Tiffin University’s 2020 Commencement Keynote Address

Commencement – Saturday, May 2, 2020 @ 2 p.m.

Dr. Reginald “Reggie” Wilkinson

TIFFIN UNIVERSITY, Tiffin, OH—Dr. Reginald “Reggie” Wilkinson, President of Connecting the Dots, LLC, will deliver the keynote address during Tiffin University’s 2020 Commencement Ceremony. Dr. Wilkinson has extensive experience in government, non-profit administration and the private sector.

The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, and will be held in TU’s Heminger Center located at 350 Miami Street. Approximately 3,000 guests are expected, including graduates who represent both undergraduate and graduate students.

“Dr. Wilkinson was selected as this year’s commencement speaker because of his impressive career achievements and the leadership that he has provided to his profession as well as Tiffin University as a dedicated trustee since 2012,” said TU President Lillian Schumacher. “I know our graduates and guests will benefit from hearing how Dr. Wilkinson succeeded in his career and his life based on hard work and integrity.”

About Dr. Reginald Wilkinson
Dr. Reginald Wilkinson is President of Connecting the Dots, LLC, a consulting company. He is also a senior advisor for the Moss Group, Inc., another consulting group specializing in justice-related tasks.

Previously, Dr. Wilkinson was Executive Director of the Business Alliance for Higher Education and the Economy, and President and CEO of the Ohio College Access Network (OCAN). In 2019, Governor Mike DeWine appointed him as an at large member of Ohio State Board of Education. He also served in numerous capacities at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, earning the distinction of being one of the longest-serving corrections directors in the nation.

Dr. Wilkinson has received numerous awards from organizations, such as the National Governors Association, Volunteers of America, American Correctional Association, University of Cincinnati and Ohio University, to name a few. He has published various journal articles, book chapters, letters to newspaper editors and authored “Leadership and Management: Connecting the Dots.”

Additionally, he serves on several corporate, non-profit and government boards. Dr. Wilkinson is the Vice Chairman on the Board of Trustees for Tiffin University. He also serves on advisory boards for the University of Cincinnati and Ohio University.

Dr. Wilkinson earned a B.A. in political science and an M.A. in higher education administration from The Ohio State University, as well as a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) degree from the University of Cincinnati.
