Tiffin University has announced a new partnership with the Institute of World Politics (IWP) in Washington, D.C., creating an accelerated pathway for students pursuing careers in national security, intelligence and international affairs.

Through the partnership, eligible students in TU’s Bachelor of Arts in national security, intelligence and terrorism studies program may apply to IWP’s accelerated 52-credit Master of Arts program. Qualified students can begin graduate-level coursework while completing their undergraduate degree, giving them a head start on graduate school while gaining professional experience in the nation’s capital. Students in the accelerated pathway are also guaranteed a place in IWP’s internship program during a spring, summer or fall semester, provided they meet program requirements. The experience combines professional development with mentorship and research opportunities.

The partnership also provides financial benefits. Eligible students may take up to eight online graduate credits through IWP tuition-free during their senior year at TU. Students who successfully complete the IWP internship program may also qualify for an IWP Internship Program Scholarship while maintaining at least part-time enrollment.

“I am incredibly proud to announce our formal partnership with The Institute of World Politics, one of the nation’s premier graduate institutions dedicated to national security, intelligence and international affairs,” said Dr. Lacy Ellis, Dean of Tiffin University’s School of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences.

“For students who are serious about a future in national security and intelligence, this partnership delivers the academic rigor, professional immersion and Washington, D.C. experience that sets our students apart.”
