Educational Studies – Paraprofessional
Take Educational Studies – Paraprofessional to the Next Level Through Tu’s Partnership with heidelberg university
Tiffin University and Heidelberg University have come together to design an academic pathway that allows students to pursue their bachelor’s degrees to work as an educational paraprofessional through well-rounded curriculum.
The pathway begins with TU & HU, an undergraduate partnership designed to provide a well-rounded and comprehensive paraprofessional curriculum. Students will complete their core educational classes at Tiffin University, while their paraprofessional concentration courses will be held at Heidelberg University, just a six-minute drive away. Students will complete their Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies – Paraprofessional in four years.
Graduates of this program will earn their Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies – Paraprofessional. This partnership creates well-rounded, professional educators ready to mold our future generations.
Career Focused
Graduates of the Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies – Paraprofessional are prepared to immediately enter the workforce after graduation to begin their educational career. Through partnership between Tiffin University and Heidelberg University, students grow in the necessary skills to work as paraprofessionals while also preparing them to become professional and compassionate educators.
The paraprofessional track prepares students for paraprofessional responsibilities, including providing staff support in an educational or childcare environment. Following this educational studies pathway allows students to learn how to best work with children individually or in small groups by providing basic instruction on reading, writing, math and other education related activities.
