Tiffin University’s TiffinArts to Host Annual Band Day Event

Tiffin University’s Creative Arts Institute (CAI) will host its annual Band Day on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 4 to 10 p.m. The event is for all high school band members who wish to hone their skills in a creative and fun environment with help from industry professionals. Band Day is free and open to the public.

Participants will have the opportunity to tour the CAI’s state-of-the-art music facilities, work with TU’s commercial music faculty and staff, as well as perform with the Tiffin University Marching Band before a Tiffin football game at the local Frost-Kalnow Stadium. Personalized coaching will be available for all brass, woodwind and marching percussion instruments.  Instruction on proper quad/quint drumming technique will also be provided.

“The Tiffin University Band Day is a great opportunity for high school students to experience what life in a college band is like,” said Drew Parent, Director of Bands. “For participating students, the day includes rehearsing and performing with the TU Band during game day, as well as getting a chance to hang out with and talk to our current members about college and the wide range of opportunities TU provides for students in music and arts. This event is always a ton of fun for both our guests and TU Band members because it allows us to share our passion for music with the next generation.”

Dinner for all attendees is included. Transportation from TU’s campus to Frost-Kalnow Stadium is the responsibility of attendees and their families. Kickoff for the TU football game is at 7 p.m.
