Tiffin University’s student-led organization, Dragon Philanthropy Council (DPC), has launched a new program to benefit Tiffin University and its students. The TU Impact Shirt is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind shirt that will change design and sell yearly. For every Impact Shirt sold, proceeds will benefit a select area of campus. This year, the Student Emergency Fund will be the focus.
TU student and founding member of the DPC, Hallie Sheehan, shared, “The intention of the Impact Shirt is to get students, alumni, friends and families to think about philanthropy on our campus and how everyone can make a difference no matter the size of their gift. Small gifts can really add up to make a big impact! The Impact Shirt allows everyone to participate.”
Katie Griffin, TU student and member of the DPC, added, “We chose the Student Emergency Fund this year because many students at TU face financial barriers and hardships, which can affect their ability to pursue a degree and graduate. Additionally, the effects of COVID-19 continue to impact students on our campus. While we don’t know what the future holds, we do know that, together, we can help those who need it most.”
“I am so proud to be working with a group of students on campus who deeply love and care about Tiffin University,” said Vickie Wilkins, Director of Alumni Relations and Dragon Philanthropy Council advisor. “The Impact Shirt is a way for everyone to support Tiffin University as well as show their Dragon Pride on campus and in the community.”
The Impact Shirt is exclusively sold online through the Tiffin University bookstore. All proceeds will go directly to the Student Emergency Fund.
