Tiffin University is proud to celebrate the academic accomplishments of our graduating seniors in all baccalaureate programs. To recognize and celebrate these students for their hard work and dedication to academics, the Academic Honors Ceremony is held annually for baccalaureate degree students, bestowing the Medal of Academic Distinction to those students who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

In addition to academic distinction, Tiffin University recognizes students in each major who have demonstrated the highest excellence in their specific field. The Flame Award is given to the top graduating students in the baccalaureate program who are chosen by the faculty in the appropriate departments for both their academic performance and for their contribution to learning and life on-campus.

The following University Awards will also be announced:

  • Student Leadership Award
  • Scholar-Athlete Award
  • Provost Award

Hosted by Tiffin University Provost & Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Peter J. Holbrook, this year’s Academic Honors Ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 in the Gillmor Student Center Gymnasium.
